“Coffee is my Shepherd; I shall not doze. It maketh me to wake in green pastures. It leadeth me beyond the sleeping masses. It restoreth my brain. It leadeth me in the paths of consciousness for it’s name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of sleep, I will fear no artificial sweetener for thou art with me; Thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me. Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of my zzz’s. Thou anointst my day with sunlight: My cup runneth over. Surely richness and flavor shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of Cappucino forever… let us sip… or whatever.”
Merry Christmas…
… to anyone I missed on this morning’s frenzy of phone calls…
Abundant blessings in the new year 🙂

My Peculiar Aristocratic Title is: His Grace Lord Wolf the Surreptitious of Middle Witchampton Get your Peculiar Aristocratic Title |
Finally… A title I can sink my teeth into…
And the Wolf gets his obscure heraldic title!
What an amazing thing….
Well, here’s a couple posts I never thought I’d be making….
I’m engaged! Like, the going-to-get-married engaged engaged.
For real.
Oh, and I actually have a horse to ride.
For real.
First, a picture of my sweety, Kirsten, and her engagement ring, an 18 month old Friesian filly known as Tessie (Testimony) on the right (Tessie’s momma is on the left):
Then a picture of me and my new DM…. a 17-hand Belgian draft horse (for non-horsey folks, 17 hands means FOOKIN HUGE) by the name of Dolly Madison. And boy is she huge… if you fall off, you can bounce 3 times and still be on her back:
Amazing, wot?
For a bit more thorough rundown on How It All Transpired, check A Laughing Gypsy 🙂
Be well, all…
PS…
I’ve got a Horse!
Wow…
I looked up today and realised it’s been 2.5 week since I’ve updated my blog. A lot has happenned, and I’m not sure where to begin. But in a couple short days, I should have some pictures, so the tale can be told….
Almost there!
What lets do first…
Lets get the CSS changed up and modularized so that we can use the base theme on multiple sites… I definitely want to ensure it’s portable as a basic site structure so that we can throw up other business sites using what features we need… but only have to maintain one master theme :=) Once we’re there, I can start brining online non-smug-based sites for the various and diverse other portals. That or find another theme for “that kind’ of site.
Let’s also hack the flickr module in the main theme to work with smug the same way on the front page. Or find an appropriate replacement… whatever works best.
Goals: full featured, main business class site for gypsywolf photo, the ranch itself, and whatever… smaller, duplicatable sites centering on blog for the training/advert/affiliates.
Change request..
I like the “featured article” functionality of the Victoria theme, however, I do not like the layout implicit in using the blog engine versus the page engine for actually writing them. I Like having the most-recent article in the main header, though, as well as the previous articles in two-column format next to the blog. Please look at “wuthered post” versus “wuthered page” to see… if “feature” and sub categories could lose the internal sidbar, and place it at the bottom (so it can still be useful, and the page still be indexable and categorizaeable), I think that would be the best hybrid solution.
